holy tantrums

Any other LO's out there with baby rage these days? For the past week J has been a total monster. He throws a classic fit every time he does not get his way or something frustrates him. You know the type.....head thrown back, blood curdling scream, collapse to the floor type of fit. This behavior came out of nowhere and I'm so lost as to what to do. I am doing my best to ignore the tantrum and redirect but geez I'm tired.

  • Yes! O has been a whiny, cranky brat! I hope she starts to understand the word NO very soon. *This could be a pipe dream*

I was wondering if my LO was the only one who was doing this already...I thought I had at least another 6 months before any tantrums started. He's so whiny and does this full-on scream when I won't let him have something.
  • Everyone told me DS would be more satisfied after he learned to crawl and it's been the total opposite. He gets so angry when I have to tell him no but seriously, there's only so much you can baby proof and I can't put my DirecTV receiver anywhere else.  Lots of full on tantrums here too, luckily we haven't had one out in public yet...that time's coming soon, I'm afraid.

Ugh! I'm having this issue with my entertainment center. It's glass and I don't know how to keep them away from it. I say "no" and move them away from it. They start screaming and then go right back for it.

    1. get pieces from a baby yard and put it around the entertainment center.

    2. Your children don't know how to talk and are super frustrated. I wouldn't call them brats (yet) b/c they don't really know any better.

  • I usually laugh and walk away. His tantrums are thrown because we stop him from doing something dangerous or playing with something he shouldnt and we take it away.

  • Oh the things I get to look forward to!  The only tantrums he is throwing is when it is time to go to be.  Today he screamed for an hour.  It didn't matter what we did tonight- left him in his crib alone, I picked him up and rocked him, DH tried to comfort him, he continued to scream.  So it was back into the crib and FINALLY it is quiet.  SO looking forward to tantrums during the day now!!!
  • Yep we are having them here too. I was hoping I still had awhile too!
