First father's day gift idea help...

Hi Ladies!

I'm a IFV/PAIF'er getting ready to have our first LO!! Baby will be here either before the end of the month or very early in june, in time for father's day.

any ideas on something for DH's first father's day? what did you ladies do? i don't want to buy anything yet, not until baby is here in our arms.

i was thinking something simple, like framing baby's footprint or handprint along with a poem written...just looking for ideas!

Aww, so exciting! I know Kohls has a ton of cute frames that say things like "Daddy and me" or "I love Daddy." One of those with a pic of your DH and your LO would be perfect!

I got him a poem from from Walmart and we were both crying. DS1 actually came home on Father's Day. GL!

Last year (before G was born) I got MH a cute frame that says "New Daddy" and put their first picture together in it.

Other ideas:

Mousepad with baby's picture (or a pic of the two of them)

Coffee mug (same thing as above)

gift certificate to golf (or whatever his hobby is)

BBQ accessories (if he likes to bbq)

I also think the handprint/footprint is an adorable idea.

I can't believe your baby will be here so soon!

I got a card and a "I love my Dad" picture frame. At the time we were still taking turns with night shifts, so I put it in a corner of the bassinet so DH would find it when he took over in the morning.

I got my DH a cute frame that says "Twice the Love" or something like that and put a picture of the babies in it. He loves it!

First of all congrats!

I got DH a picture box from Things Remembered. Each Father's day I put in my favorite pictures of DH, DS and now DD along with a notecard that starts out by saying, " I love my daddy because......" It was so fun last year because DS was old enough for me to ask and I just wrote done what he said.

I bought a three part frame.

In the middle I put a beautiful qoute about babies and then on either side a put a foot print and then dated it.

He totally cried.

for one fathers day I framed a picture of her holding his hand and put a poem with it. I did her hand prints and let her color it....(i think she was 2.5) on the mat of the frame. I will see what the poem is if you are going to hand print.

I took a snapshot of her holding on to his finger and my BIL made it into a sketch in photoshop. it turned out awesome.
