lol.. my boss told me that she used to walk around with the flaps of her nursing bra's/cami's open cause hers were that sensitive.. apparently it goes away within a few weeks.
The best thing I ever did for my nipples was to invest in hemp breast pads. EVER. I'm super sad the lady I bought them from doesn't make them anymore and I only have three pair.

Hee hee. That's funny. But sorry you're in pain! I heard letting them air-dry (with some breastmilk on them) is good for healing, so it sounds like you're doing just what they need. :-)
Aww I'm sorry, can I also recommend putting lanolin on before you shower and not wash it off, the water can dry them out further and the shower hitting them hurts.
Oh goodness! We ventured out to see DH at work so I had to feed her in his office. Took her off one boob and didn't even have time to hook my bra before I had milk all over my shirt.

I ditched the shirts all together with my first! I know how you feel. With my second it was not as bad. Just out of curiousity are you using Lanolin? Because I was super allergic and never knew, so with my first I used it for 4 weeks making my nipples in worse and worse condition. I now use a product by Aleva that is all natural and Lanolin free it's amazing!
I do let them air dry with some breast milk after each pump, I just never want to cover up again. I only use lanolin if there is an abrasion or redness. I started pitting some coconut oil on as lube and that helps too.

If your not alergic lanolin is great all the time to form a barrier between you and your bra or nursing pads so it doesn't hurt to cover up. Just a thought, I know when I was learning to bf I wished someone had told me to use it from the get go not just to wait until they were damaged.
