10 month naping sched help

Whats your Napping Schedule like - We have 10 Month old Twins-

They were on a 3 hour sched but that has changed since we went on Vacation and now we are back and its pandemonium ??

PS. We are not Morning people so if we can wake up at 8 we are good... but not earlier  dont mind a late night feeding ( bottle) if needed to keep then down longer?? Yes Selfish and we are ok with that cuz so far they have stuck to that part of the schedule.

 Thanks

J

Re: 10 month naping sched help

  • What time do they go to bed?

Ours get up at 6, 630 tops, generally take 2 1-2 hr naps, and go to bed at 7:15.

  • Loading the player...
  • E goes to bed between 7 and 7:30.  He gets up between 5:30 and 6.  He is in childcare now and takes 2-3 naps of 30-60 minutes.  I think roughly a mid morning and mid day nap.  And sometimes one in the car on the way home.

    Hi Jay!

  • When Ky was that age she still took two naps. She was down around 730-8 and up by 7 (that is when we were headed to daycare so it worked great for us). She usually took an hour nap around 930-10 and another 2 hour nap around 1.

  • They go down 9pm and would stay down for the night we think  but have not tried but we wake them at 110-12pm and give them a bottle..

    Their schedule is as follows-

    up at 8 bottle

    down at 9

    up at 11 breakfast

    down at 12

up at 2 lunch and bottle

    down at 3

up at 5 dinner & bottle

csometimes they stay up till 8 if not they are downat 6

up at 8 bottle down at 9 pm  till 8 am

i know they sleep a lot ... we dont force them  they just go ok we put them in cribs but they oblige sometimes they play in their crib and then fall asleep ..

but if we skip naps  sometime they fall appart....

Are they really sleeping for the full two hours on your schedule?  3-4 two hours naps is a lot for that age.  Most babies will be sleeping about 3-4 hours worth of naps at that age.

I'm not a mom yet, so my experience comes only from nannying, but nap habits definitely change over time.  Babycenter has a whole section with sample feeding and sleeping schedules that might help.

  • holy cow, that is a lot of napping!

at 10 months old Rosebud was:

    Wake at 7

    AM nap 10-11ish

    PM nap 1-3ish

Down for the night around 7

by 10 months old Daisy had already dropped to one nap so her schedule was:

    Wake at 7

    Nap 12:30-3ish

Down for the night around 6

  • I am actually relieved to hear you say that your babies are on a three hour schedule.  I was just saying that I felt like pumpkin was on a younger baby's schedule--still eating every 3-4 hours, and only 4 oz most of the time.  (*occasionally he will do closer to 6. But rarely.)

He wakes 2-3 times per night to eat. And, if we're lucky, that's it.  Last night---about 27 other times to be patted, given his nuk.

He will nap every cycle--but usually only for 20-30 min.
