Sorry lady I just need a few miutes to rant. My DF is an idiot!
Money is VERY tight with us right now. Our childcare fell through and I have to stay home from work, so I'm missing a decent chunk of my paycheck. On top of that, DF told me that his car would be all paid off by the end of ext month, so in Feb we went out and bought a new baby-safe car for me (figuring we could scrape by for two or so months making 2 car payments). Well it turns out he never called to confirm that his car was almost paid off, and there's actually another 7mos left on his car. So we're stuck making 2 car payments and short on pay.
I have never lived so paycheck-to-paycheck as I have been the past few months. We have the baby (that sucker's expensive) plus his two kids from a previous marriage. We have MAYBE 20 bucks to spare by the end of each pay period. It's very frustrating and already stresses me out to no end.
Today I went to pay the cable bill and noticed that it was about $80 more than last month. I opened it up to find that DF has watched six different p*rn movies at $12.99 a piece! ... it's not the p*rn that's the issue, I don't care about that. I realize we're not having fun times every day like we used to (maybe once a week now). It's the COST that I'm furious about. That stuff is FREE all over the internet. Or he could've bought a dvd or two for maybe half that. Instead he bought movies that go away after you watch them, and they cost more than a movie you could go see in the theater!
Now I have to under-pay this bill, because otherwise we won't have enough money to make rent. So there's another late fee since it won't be fully paid. Once we get childcare figured out again we should be ok to make up the difference with me back at work full-time. But, seriously?! Who in their right mind does something like that? I'm fuming right now, can't get any work done, and I know if I confront him about it now it won't get anything accomplished because all I'll do is yell and scream.
Grrrrrr. Sorry ladies, vent over, I just needed to get that out.

(((HUGS))) Money issues are the worst.
I would look for some sort of part time job that you can mesh with his job. There has to be something out there that you can make work.
In the meantime, I would try to sell some stuff on Craigs' List or a garage sale. I'm sure there are things around your home that you really don't use that someone would like. DH and I were really tight a few years back, and if it wasn't for CL we wouldn't have made it. We just looked around our house for things we wouldn't miss. Believe it or not, it was more than we thought, and I think I made about $1000 over the course of 4 months.
And I would definitely sit down, make a detailed budget, and agree to everything you spend. You can't afford to make mistakes right now, and for the sake of your relationship you have to communicate well about money.
