Hospital/clothing question from first timer

Hey ladies,

I know everyone keeps asking about what you are going to be bringing baby home in. I know something simple and comfy is key. My question is this, if we are in the hospital for a few days (if we have to have a c-section, which is very possible for me with high BP) then do I need to bring several outfits/onsies for the entire stay?

Also, I know they take hospital photos there, are you all bringing anything special for baby to wear for that? I have these really cute little camo overalls I was going to try to get LO in just for the hospital pictures. Is this a realistic thought?

    Our hospital will provide onesies for him to wear while he's there, but I'm still bringing our own clothes for him. We're getting newborn pictures taken once we leave the hospital, so I'm not really picking out a picture outfit. If those are the pictures you plan to buy though, I'd say go for what you want to put him in! And for his take home outfit we just got him a cute little romper from Target for $8

    On my hospital tour they said one outfit to go home in, one for pictures, and one for them to spit up or poop on, everything else they will have there.  They told us that they would rather us keep them in the clothes they provide because it is easier for them to check up on them because they regularly check the baby after birth and the clothes they provide have no zippers or snaps!

    the baby usually wears a side snap shirt and is swaddled or covered while at the hospital. They provide diapers, hats, blankets, shirts etc. Our hosp doesnt take photos. 

    Just remember newborns are all curled up, so bring what you want, but know it may look different or be big on the baby.
