Phew! NBR

I have done so well with this pregnancy with maintaining a low level of stress, until yesterday.  At the end of May we always have to renew our insurances at work and every year they have changed insurance companies, so I was expecting a possible change in insurance.  Well (thankfully) my health insurance stayed the same, but looking through my packet I didn't see anything about a health reimbursement account that our company has done forever.  Basically what it is, I have a $10,000 through BCBS and I pay a $300 deductible and the company pays the rest.  So, I go from thinking I have to pay $300 for labor and delivery to thinking I have to pay up to $10,000 for it.  Let me tell you, my stomach dropped to my butt when I thought that, 5-6 weeks before I'm due.

Luckily, I talked to our insurance person and it is still included in our plan.  Holy smokes, talk about a HUGE relief!  My boss thought the company was going to put me into early labor with all of this confusion..lol

  • Oh wow that would have stressed me out too. I'm glad it all worked out for you. Dealing with insurance companies is such a pain!

  • They are a HUGE pain!  Thankfully everything worked out so I didn't go from a $300 bill to $10,000.  I may have died..lol
