Issues with setting induction -- vent!

So I am 40 weeks and 2 days today. I saw my doctor yesterday who said she would send my chart to the office location that schedules inductions....she said she would get me in the first available next week. I called this morning and apparently, I'm supposed to wait and hear from them. I'm told that Cindy schedules inductions and she may not have received my chart yet and that I'd be hearing from them within a "couple of days." ?!?!?!

I could very well be overreacting, but it is Friday, I've past my due date and I have a 3 year old at home to think about.

I'm going to call them back after lunch and leave a message to actually speak with the person who does the scheduling -- hopefully I will have more of an answer. I get that they do this stuff all the time, but I wish there was a little more sensitivity.

    Yeah I think its acceptable to freak out a little.   I mean.. if they are trying to schedule you for monday or tuesday of next week then they need to give you a little notice.   Good luck!  Hope you hear from them soon.

    I understand your frustration! I hope the person who schedules these things gets back to you today or you are able to get in touch with her! When they wanted to schedule me for a c-section, they told me first that the hospital was completely booked for the week that I was supopsed to have it (the week *before* my due date - per my MW/OB's orders, not my own!) and that I'd have to go on a waiting list. I knid of freaked out a little, but thankfully it was to myself, because before I really had a chance to process it, they called back to say there was an opening for first thing Monday morning of that week. So it all worked out. I probably made someone on the waiting list very happy when they cancelled it!

    Yeah, a "couple of days" isn't what we want to hear at this stage!

    Good luck!  I'm also 40 + 2 days, so let's hope our little ones get this show on the road soon!

    Thanks ladies! They did call me back -- I am set for Tuesday morning, but at that point I will be 41 weeks. I was hoping since this is my second, it would/will happen before that! We'll see. :) GL to all of you as well!
