Help me diagnose this sound

DS has been doing great nursing. The past week, he's started making a clicking/slurping sound when he nurses. It's on both sides, and occurs throughout the feeding. It definitely leads to extra air intake, which is causing him more gas.

I do have a fast let down, but since this occurs throughout nursing sessions, I don't know if that's related. 

Thoughts? Should I see an LC? It wouldn't be an issue except for the extreme gassiness we're dealing with already.

    That might mean he is breaking the suction, which is why he's getting more air.  It could be related to a forceful letdown.  You could see a LC, but I don't know what they could do for you.  DD did that for a while but she grew out of it.

    I'm hoping this will happen for us and it's just a little phase for now.

    What she said. My baby did that for a couple of weeks and then it stopped. I think I had oversupply/forceful letdown and it resolved on its own.

    Mine did the same, and it was because she didn't have suction. I think it was due to my forceful letdown. I would make a letter c with my hand and squish my breast so it flattened some and it seemed to help her get suction.
