Weekend?

Re: Weekend?

  • Fri: Ky is home with pink eye so no pick up after work since she is at our house with our friend C. When I get home I will probably start tackling the cleaning and laundry since I have a busy day tomorrow. Ann is going out to dinner with a friend so I will probably end up taking Ky to the grocery so that is done too. I need to redo my nails but I am not sure I will have the time...

Sat: I have an appt to get the oil changed in DW's car at 10 at a place an hour from our house, it is where we bought the car and receive free oil changes for life. They are also replacing the piece they cracked when they fixed our seatbelt back in January. My nephew has his first baseball game sometime at a location half way between car dealer and our house...but I have yet to find out when so it will be fun to try and see if I can save gas and combine them both into one big trip. I want to clean DW's car out too: wipe, sweep, wash. Whatever cleaning/laundry I do not get done tonight has to be completed also. Oh and did I mention mowing? DW and I have a date planned for that evening.

Sun: Lunch for one of DW's cousins at noon. Then the afternoon is wide open for some much needed family down time. It is my mom's birthday so something will ahve to be worked in there for that as well...

Friday I am leaving work early to go to the boys' school and have their school party with the cupcakes that L made. They look awesome. Home to open some more presents (they opened a couple of small things this morning) and then meeting friends and my dad at the Japanese Steakhouse for birthday dinner. It is going to be a long day given that the kids were so excited this morning that they were up at 5:30am.

Saturday morning we have to leave home bright and early to go pick up the kids' cakes before going to Chuck E. Cheese for their party. After the party, I think we are taking them to Best Buy to get the 3DSs they have been saving for. And to the grocery store to get stuff to grill for dinner. My dad will come over and hang out/grill.

Sunday I think we are all going to go to the air show for the afternoon.

Friday: Going to try to convince C to do grocery shopping and errands tonight so they are out of the way.  Which means dinner and shopping at Whole Foods and a trip to Target to return a bunch of stuff I ordered online and pick up my contacts.

Saturday: I volunteer in the morning.  Our KD arrives around 11 and C will pick him up.  There's a NATO summit this weekend in Chicago and they are expecting large groups of protesters and there are lots of random street closures.  So we're hoping to go to a museum together, just have to figure out which one.  And inseminating.

Sunday: More hanging out with KD.  Laundry.  Inseminating.

Monday: Work from home day due to the aforementioned protests.  Yay!

  • It's E's weekend with her dad and K left this morning to visit friends in CA until Tuesday.

Tonight: Happy hour with a work friend and her girlfriend. Maybe a target run afterwards if there's time.

Tomorrow: 8am appt. for one of those major car service appts. I hope that getting it there early will mean it's not an all day affair. Afterwards errands and picking up things to make sandwiches for E's party on Sunday.

Sunday: E's party is at noon at an indoor bouncy place. I'll prep sandwiches in the morning and head out for the party. Afterwards there will be some time to do more unpacking and organizing at home.

  • I wish I could go to mommymonster's rummage sale!  I am off to one in a minute to scope for toys for the girls to play with together--especially yard toys & a bike for Zucchini.

But for real:  Our first weekend with both girls!  That's right--all three kids in one house this weekend!  After their visit w/mom tonight, they won't get home til at least 7.  But tomorrow--hopefully some playing in the yard, for sure swimming at the Y, and possibly getting outfits for pictures.  We're going to watch a movie at nighttime.  L and I realized last night this will be the first time in 2+ years the girls have slept in the same house.

Sun we are going to go get pics taken at Picture People--so they can be up on the walls when they move in.  (and not just pics of pumpkin..)

  • My friend Kate is in town so she's dropping by this afternoon to meet the babies and hang out a little bit.

My brother and his girlfriend are arriving sometime on Sunday, but I don't know when. I hope late morning/early afternoon so we have some time to spend together.

Other than that, just hanging out with the babies. I need to start a box for Jen's maternity clothes that she is shrinking out of (she has lost 40 of the 70 pregnancy pounds) and a box for the baby clothes that get outgrown. I'm also going to work on their baby books before I start forgetting things :)

  • Fri:  I overheard J and her mom making plans for everyone to go swimming at BIL's apartment, I haven't been informed yet but I'm sure she will bring it up at the last minute when she gets home.  I'm going to get out of going, I would rather have her take the kids so I can get some stuff done at home.

Sat:  No plans?  We will probably end up at J's parents house.

Sun:  J works and I might take the kids to the botanical garden.

Tonight- Out to the lesbian bar with our girls.  We are old so we will probably leave by 10 lol.  Ahhh the life of teaching early in the morning.

Saturday-  DW is chaperoning the prom so she is getting all prepped for that and we have to go to the gorcery store in the AM.  DW and I are on the butchier side and this will be the second time I have seen her in a dress in 8 years. LOL it is WEIRD!!!!  I am going to spend the evening reorganizing my study area now that the semester is over and filing my class notes away for comps next year and licensing studying in two.

Sunday- She will be at prom until late so it will probably be a lazy day.  We may have to go into RE for some baseline monitoring (we are trying to get insurance to cover some of IUI cost) but otherwise we are chillin.

We had three BFN in the Fall of 2011. It is back on to some baby making come June. Swim little fellas, SWIM!!!!

We sold a ton of baby stuff! Crib, pack n play, toddler bed, jumperoo, stroller... we've made a killing so far.

And I need a jumperoo, too!

  • my wife is working OT tonight, I'm hanging out playing on my laptop.

I'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow for an adoption finalization party. my wife is staying home to work on tile without a toddler underfoot.

Sunday we'll probably work on the floor if we can, and we're going to a 4th birthday party in the afternoon.
