Anyone else with horrible back pain?

My back has been hurting on and off for the past two weeks, but starting last night the pain was SO bad in my lower back and through my hips that I could barely sleep. Today its just as bad and even though I sit at work, it seems to be getting worse. I tried to walk around and it didn't help-no change at all.

I even took some Tylenol this morning and it did nothing. :(

Just complaining this morning....

  • Mine is the same way. Some nights my hips hurt so bad I just can't get comfortable. And if I stand in one spot for too long my lower back hurts horrible. I started going to a chiropractor, and while I still have some pain, it definitely isn't as bad!

  • The hot pad is my new best friend.  It does wonders for my lower back.

  • Mine is terrible.  I started seeing a chiropractor, which helped out a little.  It sucks.  I find myself wanting to sleep on my back, so my hips don't hurt, then when I try to roll off of my back, its such an intense pain in my lower back!

Let's store these pain memories to use a guilt-trip material for our LOs when they are not so little.Smile

  • same here, my sciatic nerve hurts and my hips are sore. a heating pad works some, hot shower. But mainly resting...which I have no time to.

    It bites!

  • I have the same problem.  Usually I would ask DH for a back rub, but my OB said that isn't a good idea :(.  I guess for me it is because the ligaments in my pelvis are loosening up and a massage would make it worse.  LAME!

  • The chiropractor definitely helps, but there are still days when I can barely walk or roll over in bed.  If I accidentaly roll onto my back....I could scream it hurts so badly.

I used to agree with PPs about the heating pad, but my chiro said I should really be using ice, not heat.  So, trying that.
