Clicky: Walking?

I'm just curious which June babies are walking.  I'm beginning to feel behind since DD isn't yet...ha ha. She cruises like crazy and stands for long periods of time, but not confident enough yet to take more than 3-5 steps. I know she'll get there, and I'm really not concerned...I'm just curious what the other LO's are doing. :)[Poll]

  • DD is the same way- she took 2-3 steps by herself like a week ago and since then she's shown no interest!  She has gotten really good at walking holding onto only one of my hands though.  I figure she'll do it again when she's ready!

  • DS is not even standing a little.  But he has been talking up a storm lately (says "kitty cat" now - well, "ki-ka") and has been pointing and waving a lot, so I'm telling myself he's just busy working on other skills.

  • Judah started walking on Sunday of last week.  He was only cruising and taking a step every once in a while before that.  He seemed to learn to walk overnight!

  • No interest in walking here. She stands on her own and can get into a stand from a squat without holding on. So her balance is getting pretty good. This has been going on for a while now though. Shes attempted one step a few times but I don't even think it was on purpose. I guess she's just not ready yet!

  • Em cruises along everything, but if we try and make her stand unassisted, she can do it for a bit but will just stand there and cry, or she will immediately squat down and sit.  She's still scared and can't do it yet.

  • She's cruising all over and will sometimes let go and stand completely on her own, but she won't take any steps unless she's holding onto our hands or something else for security. She doesn't have to hold onto anything to stand or sit back down from standing. Everything with her has happened very suddenly, so I'm sure one day she'll just randomly start walking and surprise me!

  • Bay started walking all on her own on Sunday (mothers day). She had taken a few steps here and there on her own but she hadnt walked more than 3 or 4 steps at a time. Well Sunday was the day. She just started to walk and now we cant stop her. She walks everywhere!

  • Ty's been cruising on furniture, toys, boxes, chairs, whatever for months now, and will occasionally let go to stand on his own for a few seconds, but once he realizes he's doing it he immediately sits down or grabs on to something.  He's getting a little better at trying to stand on his own though - again though, he just can't realize he's doing it!

He's also taken a few steps on his own, but we need to work on balance.  Each time it's been from one thing to another (or from DH to me) and the top half of his body is way ahead of the bottom half!

  • Audrey took 2 solo steps at 8.5 months.  She follwed with being able to do 4 at once.  She lost complete interest.  Then at 10 months, she started trying again.  By 10.5 months, she was walking most of the time.  Now, she is trying to run. lol
