Zoey must come out! Either she does it on her own or she's getting an eviction notice, easy way or hard way! I really don't want to go the pitocin route but she's not leaving me much choice! I've even tried explaining this to her! My birth center will let me go until 43 weeks but that is just NOT happening, I've done my research and it just doesn't seem safe. She has until Friday afternoon and then I'm calling my OBGYN and setting up an appt./induction for the beginning of next week. The only reason I'm waiting that long is because I have an appointment this afternoon and I'm going to have them sweep my membranes (assuming she's not out yet) and I want to give that a few hours to work. I'm hormonal, and down right angry at this point. I'm exhausted, I got about 4 hrs of sleep thanks to contractions, heart burn, bathroom breaks and baby squirming. I had contractions all day yesterday, but they never got any closer together, stayed on avg. about 30 min apart until I finally fell asleep about 2:30. Some of the contractions I even had to concentrate through. This morning I haven't had a single noticeable contraction. I currently feel like I'm starving so I'm going to eat breakfast and go back to sleep and then maybe my body will decide to do something useful! My mucus plug is gone, I know I'm dilated, and baby is way down, its time!
*Comments about "be patient, she'll come when she's ready" are not welcome here. Been there, done that (rather patiently in my opinion), she's had 2 extra weeks, she's cooked!

If you were 36 weeks 6 days, I might tell you to relax and let it happen. However, you have all the right in the world to want that little girl out!!! 41 weeks 6 days is a long haul!
I'm sending you a truck load of baby dust! You've earned it!

I totally understand! Please come out little baby!!
I will probably be induced around 41w 3 or 4 days because I don't feel good about going much past 42 either. I will have my membranes swept at 41w2d if baby doesn't come before. I really hope we can both avoid pitocin.
PS if my baby is a girl she will also probably be named Zoe Elizabeth! How crazy is that.
Great minds think alike! I was hoping to get an appt. at the beginning of the week to have my membranes swept but this was the only appt. they had available. I'm having a hard time even considering giving up my natural water birth but enough is enough; gotta do what's safest and best for the baby. I hope your baby comes soon too- without pitocin!

Good luck mama -- I hope LO comes out soon for you!
Wishing you luck! And my neighbor went 42wks & 1 or 2 days. She did a castor oil cocktail, it wasn't just castor oil, and it literally was a cocktail, because it had champagne in it! LOL. She said it wasn't that bad, and it didn't give her any "adverse side effects" if you know what I mean. But it did begin her labor. I can't remember what else was in it. Her midwife is the one who suggested it.
I will most definitely ask about this! Thanks!
On a another note, not to be horribly negative, but I'm having a realllly crappy day. Soon I'm not going to know whether to laugh, cry or scream. Just walked by the kitchen and one of my dogs peed allllll over the floor, under the fridge and everything. I have two black labs, when they pee in the house they create ponds! They've been out a couple times this morning, there was no excuse for this! Someone was just being defiant and was mad that I locked them out of the room I was in. So now I get to clean the kitchen floor before I can have lunch and I have no idea how I'm going to clean under the fridge!
Thank you for all the great comments, ladies, please keep them coming, it may be one of the few things that gets me through today!
Awww bless your heart! I hope baby comes soon. You'll have some reflief, but as far as getting your sleep back, yeah, you might want to get used to not sleeping!
