I wish I could say we got more eggs than last time, but we came out with 4 eggs once again. He came in telling me that I should be called the 4 for 4 girl. My RE was the doctor performing the ER this time and he said that he was happy to report they were able to get to my left ovary this time and if he hadn't we would have only had 2 eggs, so that is a plus side. He did go back to the lab before we left to verify maturity of the eggs and he came back and told us all 4 were mature, so that is one more mature than last cycle. I feel more at peace and relaxed with the outcome this time than last, so I am hoping that is a good sign for our fert report that he will call me with tomorrow.
If you would mind sending some fertilization vibes, thoughts, or prayers our way that would be greatly appreciated, because I would really like to make it to ET this time. Thank you ladies for all of your support and encouragement over this cycle.

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Thank you ladies, it means a lot! I did get to speak with my RE afterwards since he did my retrieval about my fears of last time and he said he would work with them this afternoon and do all that he could to get the eggs to fertilize. I am not sure what this means because I don't know what more he can do other than ICSI which is already in the plans. But I trust him and as he said before I went in that he was going to use of all of his tricks to get to my left ovary and he did!
Oh and I did call my nurse and left her a message asking if they could call me between 1130 and 1230 with the fert report if possible. Tomorrow is field day and I have no planning, so this will be the only time I am not on duty with kids.

Lots of fertilization vibes your way! The same thing happened with me - with IVF#1 we had 6 retrieved, 6 mature, 3 fertilized. And like you, none made it to transfer.
I freaked out when I had 6 retrieved again with IVF#2. This time, 5 were mature. I freaked out more so when, once again, 3 fertilized. I couldn't help but think "here we go again." But this time, all 3 made it to the day of transfer and we transfered 2 grade B embryos on day 3!
It's so hard not to compare to what's happened before -- but they are 4 different eggs. I hope this is it for you!!
Thank you for posting this! It is reassuring that my fert report and outcome can be totally different than the first cycle. I will remind myself as I anxiously await the phone call tomorrow.
