My 2 week old seems to not like to be worn. She does ok for a little while in the Ergo, especially when my husband wears it rather than me. However, if I use my Moby wrap she fusses and claws at me and won't settle down. I wonder if I'm wearing it wrong or if I need a ring sling? Thoughts?
Re: Baby wearers: My baby does not like to be worn-help!
I kind of have to agree with this. I mean, if your baby screamed and clawed when you put her in a bouncer, you wouldn't put her in a bouncer, right? Just because babywearing is AP doesn't mean it's right for your particular baby. She might come to like it when she's older too.
I know this sounds weird, but you might not be wearing her tight enough. I would give it one more try and make the Moby as tight as you can get it. This is- by the way- a suggestion I was given by someone on here just a couple of months ago.
I have to say though, that both Carly and I prefer the ring sling to other carriers.
Mine hated it for the first few weeks. It was only last week I was finally able to get him in without him crying. Even still, he has to be in the right mood.
This was definitely the case for us. For the first two months or so DD hated being worn by me, but loved being worn by anyone else. Once she started spacing out feedings she started liking it when I wore her around.
