Endoscopy tomorrow

Any good vibes, T&Ps are welcome and appreciated!

I've mentioned a few times that I've been having issues eating certain foods, swallowing, throwing up, etc, for unknown reasons (acid reflux has been tentatively ruled out).

I was then referred to a GI doctor, who scheduled an endoscopy for me. It's tomorrow at 9:30. I'm a little nervous because I was told I will be under light anesthetic. So I will be awake-ish, but unaware. I am prepared for the strong possibility this will be me tomorrow, LOL image

    I hope it goes smoothly and you get an answer to what's bothering you.  (((HUGS)))

    Hope everything goes well and you get some answers! I'll be thinking of you, sweet lady. 
    It was a rough road, but Arlo Daniel was born April 1, 2013—and our second rainbow is due October 12, 2014.

    Lots of luck to you. I've watched several endoscopies in my hospital. Like pp said, you'll feel kind of dreamy. You'll be awake but not really and you won't remember it afterwards. Hopefully you get some answers soon. Give us an update when you can. I'll send some prayers up for you then!

    I just read your blog post, wow! I really hope this gives you some answers. Good luck and FWIW ever person I know who's had an endoscopy says they feel like its general anesthesia, meaning they don't feel or remember a thing. Plus, most GI docs can perform one in 3-5 mins. FX they find a way to help you soon!

    Thank you all for the well wishes and support Smile  I am enjoying my last half hour of being able to drink and eat Smile  I never eat this late- ever.  But I was suddenly starving when I saw it was 11pm and I can't eat/drink past midnight!

    It'll be okay!  I found the "prep" the day before to be far worse. Just take it easy afterwards.   Good luck!

    I have had an endoscopy in the past, even though I was technically "awake" I didn't remember a thing afterwards so for me it was actually super easy.  I was totally like that kid in your pic, super-loopy which was fun lol.  I hope it goes well for you and that you get some answers!  Stomach issues are awful, especially when you don't know what's going on.

    I hope all goes well today, and you are able to get some answers. If it makes you feel any better as I was coming to and still a little loopy after my d&c I asked the Dr. if he was done with my boob job or if I he was just ready to start :)

    Good luck! I have had two in the past. The first one I remember, it was like you said I was awake but not really aware of what was going on. I remember them telling me what they were doing but that was about it. The second one I don't remember ANYTHING from! I hope they are able to find some answers for you. Sending you lots of prayers, enjoy the drugs!

    I've had a few endoscopies. If you're sedated, you won't remember it.

    TTC #1 since Sept 2011
    BFP#1 1/31/12. Empty sac discovered 3/5/12. MTX due to location in uterine horn.
    BFP#2 2/27/13. Empty sac confirmed 3/20/13. Mifepristone + cytotec.
    Currently TTA until Fall 2013, waiting for operative hysteroscopy
