Charleston only a BRU but I am excited to go to this store in Charlotte. Is USA Baby just like a BRU? We are going to look at the stroller I want, but I'm sure will spend more time browsing the aisles.
I live in Charlotte, and we've been in USA Baby so much at this point that some of the sales people recognize us. We've done our main registry at BRU but purchased our nursery furniture and stroller from USA Baby. The store is mainly furniture, bedding, strollers, and car seats with a mix of some other things. They tend to carry things that are a little more high end than BRU. If you haven't already, go through the USA Baby site and register for their e-mom rewards program. I got an email today that everything in the store is 10% off on Friday and Saturday and a coupon for $20 off a $50 purchase. Looks like you're going at a good time! We've always find the people to be very helpful, but sometimes it can be fairly crowded during sales.
What stroller are you going to look at? We got our UppaBaby Vista there last weekend and love it!
We're getting the UppaBaby Vista as well, but I want to "test drive" it with DH before we buy it. They're the closest retailer, so that's the main purpose. What color did you get, and do you absolutely love it? I have dreams about pushing our baby around in the stroller. Slight obsession.
We love the vista! We compared it mainly to the bug and the peg perego skate, and it really seems to be a cheaper and better version of both. The quality is really great, it's very easy to use, the weight is reasonable, and the huge basket is better than all of the strollers in a similar or higher price range. Plus, I just love the way it looks and that we can add the rumble seat or riding board to accommodate more children. I could go on and on... After obsessing about it for several months, it was the right decision for us. We're on the go a lot so a good quality stroller was one of our top baby items. See, I'm obsessed too. We drive it around the living room every few days.
The only color they had in stock was black, and USA Baby did not have the 2009 color samples as of last week. We stood in the store looking at the 2009 colors on DH's phone trying to decide if we wanted black or another color. We went back and forth between the black and silver, but ended up deciding that the silver might show more dirt and we wondered if it would be too light since we weren't able to see the fabric in person.
Forgot to say- They can order any of the colors you want. I think they quoted us 6-10 weeks to get them in. We also had to order the car seat adapter. They did not have any of them in stock. We got the chicco adapter, but they can also order the graco or peg ones. Have so much fun on Saturday!
