Ergo butt pillow

I've been using the little pillow from the infant insert under DD's butt, but I'm wondering how to know when I can stop using it. She's almost 6 months, but just a bit small for her age (as of her 4 mo visit). I don't frog-leg her legs anymore, and without the pillow the edge of the Ergo hits right at her knee crease. She can just barely dangle both legs out and I can still kiss the top of her head without it. Any advice?

    I never used the infant insert with DD, and then stopped froggying her legs when she was about 5/6 months old. The edges hit just behind her knees at that point, but it didn't bother her at all. I'm sure she's okay without the pillow at this age.
