Has anyone who has had previous babies experience this...?

With my first son I dilated early and lost my MP early but ended up being induced four days after my due date. Now with this one, I am 39 weeks pregnant and for three weeks I've been 3 cm and 100%. My MP is long gone, but this morning I had some spotting, enough to where I think it would have been considered my "show." However, that was at 9am and it is now 12:30 and I still have not had any contractions, other than some minor BH. Should I anticipate this baby within the next 24 or 48 hours? Or is spotting normal this late in pregnancy? I thought spotting was associated with dilation and I am already 3cm, so if I'm spotting I would think I'm progressing. Has anyone who has been pregnant before experienced this? If you have, how long until you went into to labor?

    Dr Google says 24-48 hours, but can be weeks after bloody show. I got my bloody show when labor started. Did you have an exam recently?

    no I haven't had an exam since last Friday and I had spotting after that but it stopped. It's been off and on all day. And my contractions just started but they're not regular and more uncomfortable than painful. Everything I"ve read has said that it should be within the next 24 hours so we'll see.

    With DD I had my bloody show 2 weeks before she was born... don't think it's really an indicator of when you will have your LO (kind of like your MP).

    I didn't get my show last time until I was in labor, but my friend got hers right before Christmas time and didn't go into labor until January 1st.   Hopefully, labor starts soon for you.

    I started having contractions last night and got my bloody show this afternoon. I lost my mucus plug over the course of 3 days starting last weekend, but I did have some occasional very light spotting throughout this week. It was less than my bloody show was this afternoon though. How much blood was there?
