Diaper Rash

Poor DS has such a bad diaper rash. Its almost like his butt looks burned on the sides. I have no idea how he got this. I can only imagine that he got it at daycare. I guess on Monday he had 2 BM's and they also had to give him a bath. So I wonder if he was in his poopy diaper too long.

Anyone have any suggestions besides diaper rash cream? I am using the Target brand rapid relief stuff.

    Letting him be bare-bottomed for awhile may help. We also really like Bag Balm.

    I've always had good luck with desitin. If you can also, just leaving DS diaper less to air out helps too!

    Google the signs of a yeast infection....i though dd just had a bad diaper rash, but it was a yeast infection and now we need to use an anitfungal on her poor itchy butt. Hopefully its just a regular rash...air it out (lots of naked time)!

    DD has a rash right now, we do the air-it-out + warm washcloths (instead of wipes) + aquafor... it's gone in a couple days. GL!

    We like the Boudreaux butt paste.  LO hasn't had too many rashes but his seem to be fungal and not just simple irritation.   We've had to first put some antifungal on(like lotrimin) and then the butt paste.  Could your LO's rash be fungal?  Hope it clears up soon!
