    Because they can't control their reflexes and wake themselves up with their flailing arms. You think it would make her upset but you'd be amazed at how much better your LO would sleep. My son is very active and I thought he would never go for the swaddle, and the first night I tried the Miracle Blanket he went from sleeping 3-4 hours to sleeping 5-6 hours at night. They protest at first but then it's like a switch goes off and they instantly calm down. I wish I would have started swaddling sooner- it was a gamechanger for us.

    I swaddle in a swaddle me but leave her hands up near her face out of the swaddle me. In all her ultrasound pics she had her hands near her face. Her hands kept her company for 9 months. I wouldn't take them away from her now.
