Movie ?: What to Expect When You're Expecting

So today is our 4th wedding anniversary, which unfortunately is also our 2nd anniversary of TTC.  DH and I are going to dinner and a movie tonight.  I was scouting out what the showtimes were for "The Lucky One" and I stumbled across the trailer for "What to Expect When You're Expecting".  Seriously, it looks cute and kinda funny, but there's no way I could sit through it without crying or becoming insanely jealous.  So hopefully by the time it's released to DVD I'll be KU and will get to enjoy it then.

Is anyone planning to see "What to Expect When You're Expecting"?  If so, just curious as to why....

  • I'm going to go see it. I love cheesy romantic comedies. It looks silly and fun, and I like the cast. I just read and interview with Elizabeth Banks and her trouble to conceive which made me like her even more (silly, I know!). Plus, there will be an IF story in there, so I don't think it'll be hard for me to watch...They aren't really pregnant, so it won't really bother me. I'm not expecting an oscar winner here, but I could use a few laughs, and my husband LOVES Chris Rock.

It looks like a terrible movie with a bunch of big names thrown in it for some strange reason.

We don't go to the movies except about once a year, so we won't go see it.  But I think I will probably rent it once it makes it to a red box.  I've always like Elizabeth Banks and I like Chris Rock.  I'm sure it will have some groan worthy moments, and I'm not a big fan of J-Lo but since all of my friends have kids, it will be a look into their world (without them trying to put a positive face on it).

  • I will probably see it under a very specific set of circumstances

    A. DH at boy's night/OOT.

    B. I am feeling very hopeful (that window is getting smaller each month).

    C. It's on Redbox and costs me no more than one dollar and seven cents.

I am, after all, a sucker for stupid, romantic comedies. (I even sat through "New Year's Eve" in it's entirety...I know.) Happy Anniversary, OP!

We do, actually! We are going to a little lake town a few hours away for a long weekend and plan on visiting some wineries and eating lots of good food. I can test on our anniversary from our IUI cycle, so those results will let me know if I can partake in wine tasting or just be a spectator. ;)

DH and I went and saw it tonight. It was a really good movie! I did cry a lot and felt jealous a a few time, but it really showed the troubles that real people go through. Two thumbs up!
