Is this bad?? Am I a horrible mother?

My LO usually wakes up once between 3 and 4 to eat. And this is the only time she'll nurse. But when she does, she eats for like 2 minutes and then just suckles to fall asleep. So she really doesn't eat.

So last night, she woke up at 3 again and I didn't want to feed her, I wanted to see if she's really hungry or just used to waking up at that time. She fell asleep again for an hour and woke up at 4. I tried to nurse but she wouldn't have it. So I tried the bottle and man she sucked that thing down like there was no tomorrow.

Now I feel guilty for letting my baby be hungry because I wanted to get more sleep :(

    Hahaha! I must be a horrible Mother also. DD sleeps through the night but before she did she would whine a little but I wouldn't get up until I knew she was actually hungry... Your NOT a horrible Mother:)

    She will wake up and cry if she gets that hungry. I was reading about baby sleep habits and the have a "wakeful" time every 60 minutes where they may make noise or wiggle or fuss. Then they go back into their deep sleep. It is part of the REM cycle.

    If she was starving she wouldn't have gone back to sleep.  Your mother of the year nomination is safe! :)

    your 1/3 cup of coffee will cause your child to be a dwarf.  You not feeding her one time at 4 am  will be the difference between harvard and ditch digging.

    stop fishing for commendations. 

    2 oz in the afternoon per boob is pretty normal.

    Your child will scream if starving.

    There is jack *** cafeinne in a half cup of coffee.

     

    I am way too tired to be nice.  I find you dramatic. Flame away I'm going back to FB
