My DH and I tried some home accupressure techniques but it didn't do much. Though a good friend of mine went for a pedicure the week she was due and went into labor right there in the chair while being massaged. She swears that it was the accupressure that did it!

I had a mani/pedi a couple weeks ago and one of the ladies at the salon told me to come back if I make it to my due date and she will really wok that spot. A friend of a friend told me the other day that the same lady told her that as well, and she went in and then went into labor that night.

Accupuncture is one of the only home techniques scientifically proven to bring on labor. It's still not going to be as forceful as a medical induction, but can't hurt! I haven't done it so no price range, but I will be looking into it for next week if no baby!
I went in for an appointment today for acupuncture to stimulate the contraction points ... I'll let you know whether it works I have another appointment scheduled for next week. They start off slowly and then get more aggressive with stimulating points as you get closer to your due date. It was about 100$ for a session, but the price depends a lot on where you live.
I just had accupuncture done for the second time today. I can't help with price since my cousin is the one who did it, but I can tell you that I had it done yesterday, was crampy after I left her office, and lost my mucous plug this morning! Today I've been having irregular contractions until after I saw her. Now they're coming every 20-30 minutes, so my fingers are crossed that they get closer together! It really can't hurt to try it!
I need to update my ticker, because acupressure worked for me. I went in Friday morning and the chiropractor did some work with a little tapper and drew fits where he was working with a Sharpie so I could work them at home, too. My water broke at 6:00 Saturday morning and DS 2 was here by 6:00 Saturday evening.
Re: Accupuncture or Accupressure??
