GTKY Poll

These are a little random but who doesn't love a good GTKY?

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

What do you miss most about being a kid?

What story does your family always tell about you?

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? I'm obviously not there yet, but I think I would want to be 65ish. I would hopefully be newly retired and getting to spend time with multiple generations of my family.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? Generally playing on the computer or watching TV

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? Oh goodness, the HIMYM season finale on Monday. Babies being born gets me every time.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? I wasn't much of a risk taker, but I was a serious whiner for a while. I look back and feel so bad for my parents. Thankfully I mostly grew out of it around early jr. high.

What do you miss most about being a kid? Having no agenda when I got off school and just playing around the neighborhood with my friends.

What story does your family always tell about you? Going back to the whining... I was about 11 and my family was having a quick dinner at McDonalds. I asked for no onions but they put them on my burger anyways. I refused to go back up to the counter to get it fixed so I just sat there eating my onion burger and crying. *Take a bite, sniff, tears, take a bite, sniff, tears* My family laughs their butts off a few times a year telling this story. I was such a spoiled brat. It has been more than 15 years and I still haven't lived it down.

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? Teen Mom

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Go out of my window and sit on the roof.

What do you miss most about being a kid? no bills!

What story does your family always tell about you? When I gave a speech at my aunts wedding wasted.  That video comes out almost every family get together.

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?I would say 30.  Not too young or old, accomplished enough, but still somewhat youthful.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? Usually on the computer or doing housework.

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? The book "winter garden'' by Kritsten Hannah.  Tear-jerker.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? fighting with my brothers.

What do you miss most about being a kid? complete innocense and total lack of responsibility.

What story does your family always tell about you? Many.  I was a big sleep-walker, so I hear lots of those.  And also, how I was a very clingy baby and always loved to be held and that I put EVERYTHING into my mouth and ate bird poop.  In my defense, I thought it was oreo cookies.  It wasn't.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? Really free? As in LO is sleeping and I have nothing to do... Either read, or play FB apps.

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? Oh I don't know, I was pmsing last week so pretty sure I was crying at random commercials.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? LOL I did a lot, one thing that is standing out right now is constantly popping the waterbeds in the house to make indoor swimming pools. Yea, I did it at least 3 times. The last time I did it, I had a friend sleeping over and my father open hand slapped me in the face so hard, my ears were ringing for hours. Pretty sure you could see the hand print for days LOL

What do you miss most about being a kid? Nothing really, I loved being naked and running a muck... and I think I did a good job carrying it over to my adult life.

What story does your family always tell about you? Ok, when I was about 6 years old the whole family was at my Grandmother's for a BBQ. I stripped down butt naked (like I mentioned above, I was ever the exhibitionist) went into the neighbors yard and mounted one of those decorative deers people sometimes put out on the lawn. I was screaming "I'M RIDIN' THE DEER!!" It took a while for someone to catch me and get me dressed.. :|  Yea, people still talk about that.

  • If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? No idea, 30?

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? Playing on my iPod catching up on drawsomething or words with friends

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? It's been a while so I'm not sure. But I did totally tear up when I read my mothers day card  :-)

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Normal kid stuff. But when I was 3 I painted the bathroom with acrylic paint. The bright primary colors my mom bought for my sister and I to use when I got up from nap. Woops. I painted everything including the tub and toilet.

What do you miss most about being a kid? Lack of responsibilities.

What story does your family always tell about you? My grandpa tells everyone that I would never sit still when I was younger. I always had to run around.  He also gave me a nickname because of it. Which is what he calls me and tells everyone when he tells this story.

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?

5 years old. I know I'm strange. I just LOVED being a child, never wanted to grow up. I said 5 because that was before school really started. I loved preschool.

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

On the internet. It's terrible. I'm on it even when I don't have free time.

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?

I'm not a crying type. The only movie I ever cried at was The Little Princess when I was 8 years old.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?

I was a goody two-shoes, so didn't get into too much trouble

What do you miss most about being a kid?

As you can tell I loved being a kid, so I miss most things about it but now I can sort of relive childhood with DS. I'm the mom that always gets down on the ground and plays. I think I like blowing bubbles more than DS likes  watching them.

What story does your family always tell about you?

I was the first child and was a great baby and rarely cried. When I was 2 years old, my parents went to the hospital to have my brother and left me at my grandmothers house. I was well behaved the whole time but when they came back to bring me home, I just threw myself down on my bed and cried for 2 hours straight. Then they say that I was never the same since...

I vividly remember this being one of the first movies I ever cried at!

  • If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? I really don't know. I'd say this age, because I would still technically be in my twenties, but I would still have DD

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time? Read, watch TV, or goof around online. Sometimes a combination of those.

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? I agree with whoever said HIMYM.

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Nothing. I was a goody two shoes for sure.

What do you miss most about being a kid? Not having to worry about money. I basically hate money (well, the lack thereof)

What story does your family always tell about you? My mom loves to tell a story about how I freaked out in the lake one day over some seaweed and some guy "rescued" me, even though I was fine. They also like to talk about how I cried my way through college. All very proud moments.
