Oh the comments pregnant women get ...

I was just out for dinner with a girlfriend and the waiter comes over and says 'Someone overheard you have 10 days left, wow that's really soon I'm surprised your still out'  ... uhhhh 'so I should sit at home and rock in a corner?' (my response) ... 'well yeah I guess you'll be doing that in 10 days so you should get out and have fun while you can' (his response)

Bah ha ha ha  I can't wait until he has kids

  • HAHAHA! Oh, I love it!

Yesterday I was at Subway and the nice, innocent high school girl asked me when I was due. I said, "Tomorrow," and her eyes about popped out of her head and she looked at me like my water was about to break and I was going to start screaming and need someone to catch the baby RIGHT THEN. She then said, "Wow, so you're getting lunch for tomorrow you can take with you?" Oh, sweetheart. ESTIMATED due date. Estimated. Too funny :-)

  • Love your stories! I had been temping in a doc's office until a few weeks ago with this incredibly sweet woman who was really concerned that I was going to go into labor while working. Every time I made a grunt or a noise while moving, she was at my side asking if I was okay. On my last day there, I was so tempted to spill some water on the floor and say "uh oh!: but she was so nice I didn't want to give her a heart attack. I did admit to her that I thought about it. She said she would have killed me. hahaha

At work I get "So when are you due?"

    "The day after Memorial Day."

then their eyes bulge out, and they say something along the lines of "OMG!  You don't look that far along at all!"

or they just say "OMG!  Why are you still here?!?!  You're crazy!"

Umm.... because I want to work.  Apparently I'm the only pregnant person in the history of the company who didn't take off 2 weeks before her due date.  (sarcasm, I'm sure I'm not)  AND I FEEL FINE.  I will be taking off beginning 6 days before my due date.  But I've just felt all along that this baby will be late, so if I begin my leave later, this will give me more time with the baby at the end.  I'd rather spend my time off with my baby than waiting on the baby!
