PP bleeding question.

So, I had my son last Monday may 7th, had him vaginally. I'm curious about how long PPa woman typically bleeds. I'm not bleeding as much as I was last week, buti am still bleeding enough to have to change my pad every time I use the bathroom.

So, I'm just wondering how long some other moms bled after giving birth. Thanks ladies!

i had DD2 on April 26th and literally just yesterday completely stopped bleeding. The last 4 or so days were super super light though. With my first I bled for 5 weeks!

With my first (vaginal delivery) I bled for 6 weeks. This time (c-section) was closer to 2 weeks, followed by a few weeks of spotting.

Glad you asked as I was wondering the same. I delivered May 8th and am still bleeding and was starting to worry. Sounds like it's normal to continue beyond a week.

It is abnormal for it to be done at a week. It is also normal for it to slow way down and then start up again if you do too much physically in a day. Oh yeah and it's normal for it to have almost stopped and then around four weeks to have a few days of bleeding again.

Op with my first I did not bf and I bleed heavy for two weeks and then needed a light pad for another two weeks, my second I did bf and I blead heavy for a week and then not so heavy but still needed a real pad gor a week and then just a linner for another week or two. This time I'm a week out and still need a real pad.

I had a c/s and 3 weeks later I am still bleeding lightly. I've heard it's up to 6 weeks with a vaginal delivery.

I'm still bleeding enough to change my pad with every bathroom trip, and I had my son on May 6th. I asked my OB yesterday, and he said it should be slowing by the end of week 3 at the latest, and if it hadn't to give him a call. I'm pretty sick of pads right now though!

My poor friend bled for 10 weeks! Though I think 3-6 is more normal.

2-3 weeks for me with DD - and even after that I wore a panty liner for another couple weeks...

I had my baby May 8th and today was the first day that the pad was clear all day. It's been really slow for days unless I over do it. I'm still getting a little when I wipe but it looks more like my MP than bright red bleeding.
