Anyone else obsessed with birth stories!?

I'm ravaging the boards looking for new stories...every few minutes! There is a lot of variation which is good, because i dont want to head into the hospital expecting things to go a certain way!

Getting so excited!!! We even have some on the June board already! Yippee!!

I was worse after the birth of my son. I wanted to know everyone elses birth story. Compare notes and experiences etc. I wanted to watch A Baby Story/The Business of Being Born/Bringing Home Baby all the time. It is the most awesome and intense experience of my life. And as much as I am a little bit scared to go through it again, I am 20x more excited. It is very cool.

I'm completely obsessed with VBAC success stories. I'm trying to create as positive a mindset as possible. So, I refuse to read induction/c-section/rcs type stories. I've been there, I know things don't go according to plan, but I need to relax and let labor happen naturally to even get my chance at a VBAC.

i love the vbac success stories too! since i'm hoping for one but having a hard time being optimistic about it. actually last night i had dreams alllll night about the baby dropping super low (i think since DS never did that that is my biggest fear is failure to dilate and baby not descending again). in my dreams i was in all kinds of crazy positions in weird places (parties, work) telling everyone i was pushing-haha

I'm probably in the minority here but sometimes they really freak me out. I will look at some here and there, but not a lot. I learn about complications I hadn't even heard of before which just stresses me out more!

I keep reading the stories at the beginning of Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. I read it before #1 too and I just love it. So positive and inspirational.

THIS makes me that much more excited...I'm a first time mumma and I love to hear of moms talking about their birth experience in this way Smile
