Dh was holding dd in his lap during lunch today while he ate. After he finished I heard her cough a little but didn't think anything of it. I kept eating and looked over and noticed she had something in her hand putting it in her mouth. She had gotten a hold of some rice and was eating it! I'm wondering if this is why she coughed or if it was coincidence. We need to be more diligent! I didn't realize she had the coordination to reach in the plate, grab rice, and then put it in her mouth.

    I think she's subtely trying to tell you she's ready for solids. ;)

    I'm glad she's ok though.  I don't think that's what doctors mean when they say to start with rice cereal. lol

    Her actual first solids was a bug! Then there were a couple of fuzzy lint balls. ....now rice. She must be hungry! lol
