With my first child, my belly didn't "pop" until I was in the second trimester...maybe 15 or 16 weeks. I remember wanting to make a t-shirt that said "I'm not fat, I'm PREGNANT" because I had this poofy gut that did not resemble a bump. Once I finally started showing, it got ridiculous pretty fast.

your uterus is behind your pelvis until week 12. your belly won't really start to "pop" until week 20 or so. you won't really be "showing" until after then.

I'm twelve weeks with twins and for sure have popped in the last few days because now strangers and family a like are saying I look pregnant. I'm on the small side to start so i think that has to do with it but boy do i feel pregnant now.
My bridesmaid dress at 20 weeks showed a newly popped bump. The dress fit beautifully. Three weeks later I wore the same dress to a formal wedding, and wished I could take it off after the ceremony. It's amazing how quickly things change later on.
Bloat comes and goes. I had the worst episode about 13 or 14 weeks, but that was after a transatlantic flight.
I popped at 17 weeks so that close friends noticed my bump -- you'll literally wake up one morning and it will be there. Probably wasn't noticeable to strangers until 22-25 weeks, depending on what I was wearing.
Regardless of what it is, I have "looked pregnant" early every time. This is my third baby and I look PG at 9 weeks. It's crazy. I'm sure the belly fat I never got rid of from #2 doesn't help, but it's noticeably much different in the last week or so and I am wearing some larger size clothes.
I'm definitely not excited about this. Since I'm just barely four weeks, I'll look "fat" all summer, not so much pregnant. Although I guess that beats being huge and pregnant IN the summer. The little baby growing inside makes it all worth it though.

i have lost almost 10 pound due to MS. But I am so bloated in my belly that the weight lose and the bloating combined makes feel huge. My pants are snug and you cant really tell unless i have a tight shirt on. but thankfully it is pretty rounded so i dont just look chubby!
i am so bloated! with DD i started showing around 18/19 weeks. my sister says i already look pregnant with this one and i don't believe that is possible. i'm wondering when the bump will start to show with this one since we are telling people on father's day..
Bload, well I have been dealing with this since week 5 and it is difficult since I am not on the heavy side and we are not telling anyone until Father's Day. [My ticker won't recalibrate, but I am 8 wks today].
Getting dressed in the morning is such a hassle trying to wear the right closes to cover the bloat so one one "thinks or suggsts" that I am preggo. I am not sure that I could even deny it at that point.
Had my first OB appointment and asked Doc when the bloat will go away, she said that it rarely happens. So I guess I better get comfortable.
Father's Day hurry up so I can show off my gut
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hears and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Yeah, keep in mind, not everyone is the same. Your body type has a lot to do with it. I'm only 4'6'', 85lbs pre-pregnancy, and I popped around week 14. That's considered really early for a FTM, but literally, my uterus had nowhere else to go. So keep that in mind.
That being said, most FTM don't really "pop" until later, more around 16-20 weeks. Just depends on your body type.
