Anyone had any luck

applying for and getting scholarships/grants to help in the cost of adoption fees? 

I've been researching and have printed our 3 to apply to, but just wanted others' experiences, too!

    We had applied for one grant through an adoption organization, but we didn't get it.  I can't remember the name of the org.  We were able to apply for a grant through DH's work and get that after the adoption was finalized.  My work does not offer any. :(

    I applied for 4 through adoption grant organizations but haven't heard anything yet.  The deadline for most of them was May 1st so it might be a while yet.  Does anyone know what happens if I don't hear from them before we are placed in July?  Can we still get them after placement and before finalization?  I would hope that our agency would still accept them and refund us the overpayment since the rest of our fees are due at placement.
