Tingling in breast after feed

I am having a bit of a tingling stingin sensation in one breast after a feed. It's a very fleeting pain and is not in my nipples. I googled it and everything said thrush but I don't see any other signs. Is there anything else this could be? Do I just call my OB? I see a white tongue on DS but it seems to wipe away so I don't think he has it.

Sometimes you can get a sensation like that as your ducts are filling up with milk again.  I've felt that here and there.  And I've had thrush, which feels different.  With thrush, my nipples turned bright pink and shiny, my nipples burned/itched, I had shooting pains in my breasts and nursing was very painful.  If you don't have those symptoms, I think it's just your ducts filling up. :)

  • I used to feel a tingling all throughout my chest after a feeding when I first started nursing.  If you don't see other signs of thrush, and LO doesn't have white patches in his/her mouth, I wouldn't worry.

  • This happens to me. I think it's from not emptying enough. It especially happens to me after pumping, as I never can empty with the pump.

I started feeding in the cradle hold like always, but at the end, feeding for a few minutes in football hold position. For some reason, he empties me out better with this hold.
