So many people talk about how they don't think expiration dates are such a big deal but how about on baby formula? I have an unopened bottle of liquid Similac mix that expired on January 1st of this year and am wondering (perhaps stupidly) if I can give DD one bottle from it before I have a chance to get to the store for a new can and then throw out the old stuff. I'll need to give her a bottle during my dentist appt. and don't have time to get anything beforehand...Thanks for not being too harsh on me

My husband is terrible with not wanting to throw out stuff after it is expired. I had a cake mix and he didn't want me to toss it so I made it to make him happy knowing full well what would happen. Well the cake tasted like crap so I'm told, it didn't rise at all was all kinds of funky. As for can stuff that can be even worse he didn't want me to toss out a can of tomatoes it was a 1yr past the date. He reasoning was the can looked fine no dents in it no signs of rust. Well I opened it, it smelled fine but well looked funny and I am not about to taste it either but he did again was terrible. He does this with medicine too. He also thinks sour cream will last forever cause it already did its thing. Ya right mold growing is not healthy.
Oops sorry was rambling, ya I agree don't chance it.
