I had planned to work up until delivery, but now I am so miserable and grumpy I really want this to be my last week. I'm looking into my leave policy in hopes that I can call it quits early. I figure I can have time to deep clean the house and have some quality ME time before the new LO comes and school is out for the summer for my girls. Who is still working, and when do you plan to go out on leave?

Re: who is still working?
working til i go into labor, which includes 2-2.5 hrs in the car of commuting per day. it's not fun, but honestly at least it's a desk job where i get to sit down because when i'm home that means DS is home and he is a HANDFUL these days (his daycare is out by my work so i don't have the option of sending him to daycare but staying home which really would be dreamy).
so work is uncomfortable and defintiely annoying but technically more 'restful' than at home. tradeoff i guess. but talk to me in a few weeks and i'll probably be hating work too and begging the baby to come out

I'm due the 4th and the last day of real school is June 1 (we have a week of fun activities the following week and work days until the 13th). I'll be here until I go into labor. I can't really imagine sitting at home waiting for her to arrive, but I'm also feeling fine.
I'm in it for the long haul. I don't want to waste any vacation time.
I'm working until I go into labor. We own a business, so anytime I take away from work is not beneficial to our bottom line (ie. our livelihood). I have, however, been taking a couple of hours each day (if I can) to go home and rest or take a nap.
In all honesty, I won't get a true maternity leave. There are too many factors in the business that need my hand in it (payroll, accounts payable, etc). So, I'll probably pop in for a couple of hours each week to take of things. I know it's not ideal, but it's what we have to do.
My last day is next friday... I have been wanting labor to start tho... I am tired of work... I live 5 minutes from my hospital and doctor... and work 40 minutes away... I really don't want to go into labor at work... but this weekend would be great... lol like I have a choice... But not sure if I'm going back after baby any way... hubby and I still can't decide...

I'm so ready to not have to show up at work every day - my motivation at the office is completely gone. I would much rather clean the house top to bottom over the next 3 weeks than come into work every day and feel like I'm wasting my and the company's time.
