Went in to see the raspberry....

Came out with an OLIVE! The doctor moved me up a whole week! I feel like I have time traveled. I am so excited, and now we are looking at a 12-15 dues date! The little one was moving like crazy and the hearbeat was 175. I have never been so relieved and excited.

 She also explained that I would be under "cervical surveilance" for the next several weeks, getting a transvaginal US every 2 weeks starting at 16 through 24. Has anyone else gone through this? I believe is only measures the length of the cervix, but since they are in there, will I be able to see the baby then too? Knowing I get to see him/her every 2 weeks is exciting!!

Thank you for letting me share - it has been quite a journey!

    That's exciting. I too got moved up 4 days, which puts me at a raspberry when I thought I had a blueberry!

    Exciting! I measured a day behind, but we kept the same 12/16 due date.

    Exciting! I also measured further along, but only by a few days. Why is your Dr putting you under cervical surveilance? Is it a precautionary thing? I think that you will be able to see the baby though- that is how my Dr did my first ultrasound.

    Yes, they can see the baby with cervical surveillance.  And a lot of times they will take a quick peek.

    Thanks so much! We are excited to be Mid-December parents.

    I am on cervical surveilance because I have had a LEEP/Cone biopsy procefure before to look at and remove abnormal cell growth on my cervix. There is a slight chance that the biopsies would shorten the cervix, so they want to measure it multiple times during the pregnancy. I am a little nervous, but happy that I will be able to see the baby multiple times!

    The Dr thought that the original US date could have been off, and with that and the time I think I ovulated and the fact that it was a whole 7 days different, they decided to move me up. FINE with me!
