So, as I mentioned on Monday, I got my first truly positive OPK Monday afternoon and Monday night. The test line was darker than the control line, no doubt about it. I didn't test Tuesday morning but Tuesday afternoon the test line was very dark but just a smidge lighter than the control- figured it was negative.
I assumed I would have ovulated yesterday and have a temperature spike this morning but no such luck. Now I'm feeling really bummed out... was this a fake out or could I still ovulate today? I have bad ovulation type cramps Monday so thought for sure it was happening soon. I know the package says most women ovulate 24-48 hours after a positive opk but I thought MOST women ovulated sooner than that.
Any thoughts?
Re: Frustrated! (ovulation/opk question)
My guess is, you're probably O'ing today. That, or you actually did O yesterday and there are other factors that are effecting your temp (even stress can do this). I know that when I'm expecting a certain temp on a certain day, it never works out like that. Spend your day relaxing and feel confident that you are probably just at the very end of your fertile window. Then next couple temps will probably give you your answer.
Congrats on the first ever OPK+! What a great feeling!
