Reddish purple spots on belly???

Hi,

I just noticed yesterday that I am starting to get faint reddish purple spots all over the center of my belly. My belly button is really red and purple too. There are no raised bumps and it is not itchy so I don't think it is a rash. Anyone know what this is? Should I be concerned??

I started using Palmers tummy butter instead of Palmers moisturizer about a week ago. I'm going to stop using that for a bit but I don't think that is what it is... Please say this isn't the beginning of stretch marks all over my belly. I have been using bio oil and moisturizers twice a day religiously since the end of my first trimester.

    Could be stretch marks - nothing prevents them so if you're going to get them, no amount of lotion in the world is going to stop it.  BUT it's great you're using lotion anyway to help with keeping the skin moisturized and help with itching as you get bigger.  Plus it may help minimize them.  Who knows.

    I don't know if it is the same thing or not-- but when I started using Palmers I had little speckles all over my stomach too. I wondered if it was a reaction, but since tehy didn't bother me I continued to use the lotion. They went away in a few days.

    I don't know about the spots but I got red streaks for my stretch marks (if that helps)

    Ruptured blood vessels...I have them all over my chest.
