diaper defect

Just changed LO diaper since I thought I heard her have a BM. She had only been wearing this diaper for maybe 30 min. She had a little BM but then there were these clear gel looking things around the area almost like it came from diaper.  it was not in her poop but on her skin.  I skimmed the diaper and it looked fine. Anyone else notice this before?

    Only once that I can remember, but it was her first diaper change after sttn.. so the diaper went through a lot lol. What kind of diapers are you using? Maybe it was just one bad one?

    we have been using Target brand but this one was a left over pampers from in-laws.

    We use Pampers Baby Dry and I have noticed this once or twice after a full night in a wet diaper, just a speck or two on her skin. I believe it is a tiny bit of the gel coming out (the pee turns into gel under the fabric of the diaper I believe). I didn't think it was too big a deal.

    This. Once every couple weeks I will find a few gel specks on her little bum, I just give her a good wipe down with a wash cloth and let her buns air dry. I have never noticed any irritation from the gel pieces.

    We used Pampers with DD and had that quite often.  Like a PP said, its just the gel coming out.  Some people have had issues with it causing irritation, but we never did.

    Was it a Pampers Baby Dry?  Yeah, those diapers do that all the time.  It's why I won't buy them.

    That is common with disposable diapers. One more reason we don't use them!

    This happened to Cam when he was a newborn, scared the crap out of me, I thought something was wrong -- the pedi said it's harmless unless it bothers his skin.  Hasn't happened in forever, it was an OLD bag of diapers from a friend, so even though pampers said their diapers don't expire, I beg to differ.
