The pharmacist said it came back as an overdose. 5mg. I was at work so I didn't get to go to the pharmacy until 6:30. Now I'm waiting to see if the powers that be can approve it by 9 when the place closes. Who needs to ovulate anyway?
Femara is FDA approved only for breast cancer, at a dose of 2.5mg daily. I'm actually surprised that more Femara for IF Rx's are not denied.
I hope that you can get the coverage worked out. The drug is pretty pricey if you can't.

^^This would be my guess. My RE doesn't regularly use Femara for that reason. I know this would suck- but would the pharmacy at least fill 2.5mg with insurance and the other 2.5mg OOP? I don't know how all that works, or if they're even allowed, but just a thought.
UPDATE: The pharmacy called so I ran back out there and got my pills, yay! And I managed to pull off an excellent parallel parking job when I got back home, in front of a whole crowd of people sitting on their stoop. Success.
I take femora and take 3 a day so 7.5 MG... Crazy your ins wouldn't cover it.. sounds like dr needs to word it different..
glad it worked out!

That's how it was written but they still wouldn't give it to me at first because it said to take 2 of them a day. I'm glad they sorted it out.
