I think every tooth has been different (we are working on #6). On DD, first I see whitish coloring and swelling, then over the course of a few days I can start to see the little bumps. Get your pain medication ready

It's been different with us too. The first ones it was really quick...the swelling, less eating, crankiness and drooling...all within a week. The top two took soooooo long...almost two months. Then, her next 2 she's working on now and it's been pretty quick again. The two top were by far the worst so far...and these were the two we used an amber necklace on (not sure if that means anything at all, just something I noticed) GL, she will do great!!
I have become less excited about teeth during the 2 hours it has taken to get her to sleep tonight! Ugh. Here's to hoping she stays asleep and the orajel helps!
His first 4 teeth (all at different times) came in about a week after I first noticed swelling (DS's didn't blister). His 5th popped through a couple weeks after the first signs and his 6th tooth still hasn't popped through and it's been 3 weeks since I first noticed it.

It depends her bottom ones came in pretty fast. She was teething on the top for a while and had bumps for a few days (I think she really wouldn't let me get a good look). Last week on Friday we were out to dinner, she made a funny face and when we got home there was a tooth, same thing on Saturday and Sunday, now we're waiting for the fourth on top to make it appearance, there's a bump but that's all.
We have four - the first two I saw swelling, and the teeth were completely cut in within 24 hours!
The second two I saw swelling, a week went by, horrible teething symptoms, swelling, fussing, runny nose...and then nothing. It all went away. Came back a few months later and then we had a few weeks of symptoms before they finally broke through. And those top teeth were so big they took forever to cut all the way through.
Our girls are always so similar- mine is just getting her first tooth too. I can feel the sharpness of it and see it a little bit but it hasn't popped through the gum yet. I'm a little worried she's getting the two on the bottom at the same time because the other side looks puffy as well! She's had a very runny nose and lots of poop.

That's funny! I think my LO is getting two at the same time too!

My LO has a runny nose too! I figured that was part of it.
