Need ideas for preventing DD from taking her clothes/diaper off.

This morning I found DD2 in her crib playing with her poop. She has figured out how to unsnap her onsie (which used to be a deterrent) and took off her diaper. She has done this before and has peed, which wasn't a big deal...the poop on the other hand....disgusting. When DD1 did this, we cut the feet off of her sleepers and put them on backwards, but it's getting warm out and too warm for footed sleepers. Any good ideas besides duct tape?

How about the cotton footed pj's vs. fleece?  We used those in the summer & DD was fine.  We do live in Texas so we have the A/C on all summer.  If those aren't an option duct tape it is :-)

  • I have heard of some people putting the diapers on backwards.  Your DD may eventually figure that out, too, but it might work for a while.

  • This happened with my sister's son, and one memorable afternoon while I was babysitting- ugh!  Her solution was to turn a zippered onesie inside-out, facing front.  I suppose you could put it on backwards if DD is especially crafty.  When it got warm, she cut the arms/legs off the onesie.  It worked for her.  GL!
  • We put panties or diaper covers ( that come with dresses) over her diaper and it works perfectly
