Bruises

Do your LOs have bruises on their legs and arms?  N constantly has little bruises up and down his legs and occasionally arms.  Nothing big, just from running into things while he's crawling around and playing.  But wasn't sure if he just bruises easily or if all kids have this many bruises.

I don't find them constantly since he's still only crawling but I do find them.

  • DS's knees get a little beaten up from crawling, but he doesn't get bruises on his legs and arms.  His forehead/temples, on the other hand...he gets pretty clumsy when he's tired.  He currently has matching bruises on each side of his head from bumping it against the baby jail.

  • A had them everywhere. She's got a bunch on her head too :(. She falls a lot - she's a total klutz like her mom. Still no walking ye here either so I dunno what to blame it on!

  • DS has bruises all over.  Thankfully, his black eye is just about gone.  Today he got a fat lip so that takes the place of the black eye. The kid just loves to climb on stuff and trips over his hands all the time.
  • The only place Ash gets bruises is on his head and face, tons of them.
  • Clara has only had one bruise that I can remember, it was on her elbow.

  • I just noticed one on Jagger's arm the other day and saw another one on his arm today. I think they are his first ones.

Yep.  She always has at least two or three little bruises on her legs.  I just chalk it up to the clumsy stage they are in at the moment and the fact that her skin is so pale so they show up more.  I would be worried if she bruised super easily like just from my holding her or if she had an excessive amount.

  • DD gets them occasionally on her legs. I think it's from crawling around/on/over things. She's very fair, like me, so they are noticeable when she gets them. I bruise pretty easily myself.

  • Not on his arms and legs that I've noticed, but Ev gets them all over his forehead/the top of his head. I swear he falls and smacks his head on something at least once a day, not to mention all the times he tries to crawl under something too low and smashes his forehead into whatever it is. I feel so bad but I'm trying to accept that it's just part of life with a mobile baby, and especially with a very active little boy.

  • O has them on her knees from crawling on the hardwood floors. Sometimes I see her crawling on her hands and feet, in order to avoid hurting her knees.
