Please help me with Hunger Games ideas for party food!

Hi!  I know you probably think this post is for DD who is only 3, but it's not!  :)   It's for my older son's birthday party (he's 12) and I was hoping to find some Moms on here that know the Hunger Games and can help me out.  I was trying to do something like naming the food after things in the book, like Greasy Sae's Sliders (for Pulled Pork Sliders) and things like that.  I don't want to do actual food from the book (lamb stew, goat cheese etc) as I don't think that would go over as well with him.  :)   So can anyone think of easy party food for a small crowd that we can put fun names to?  I'm sorry I don't have the menu planned yet....so any ideas would help!  Thanks!!!

    Lots and lots of berries!

    I'd call the pulled pork 'lamb stew' and stuff like that - and see if that worked.

    My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.

    You could just serve no food and say it's in honor of the hunger games  :)

    I agree with PP, definitely have some blackberries or blueberries and call them "nightlock"

    If you do cupcakes instead of a cake, you could call them "Capitol Cupcakes"

    Having anything with seafood?  Could say it's from District 4 (I might be wrong on the number)

    That's all I could think of for now  :)

    you could do buffalo wings but name them something like rabbit legs. A salad named something like "leaves from the backyard". You could get that swiss cheese that comes in the foil wedges and pair it with crackers as an appetizer and call it Goat Cheese from Prim. Those cheeses are yummy!  I'm not sure what to do with the idea but alfalfa sprouts could be Katniss roots.
