new room at daycare

Her teacher suggested she was ready to move up - our daycare has a young toddler room, mostly 12-18 months - so I asked if she could try it for a day and then when I picked her up - they moved everything over to the new room - apparently she was great!  I am so happy because they have so many more activities for her and they give food - I wont have to pack too much anymore.  But I am also sort of sad - I cannot believe my little bug is getting so big - she started walking and now this.

 

Anyone else moving up in daycare?

    We moved up last week. I was sad, because I hoped he could stay with his first teacher until we moved.

    But, it was a great switch- he knew his new teacher, as she used to be in his room in the morning. And since she goes home at 3, he goes back to his old teacher until 5. The transition was cake for him, it seems!

    DD moved a month or so ago (our daycare has infant, crawler and toddler rooms). Shes done great and really likes having more to do.

    Yep, we moved up to "Infant B" about a month ago (DD was about 10 months). The first few days she was upset when I left her, but her old teachers were right next door and would come check on her. Now she loves it! When she first arrives, she gets right in the high chair for cheerios and fruit :) She is also getting to try a lot of new finger foods, way more than I offer at home. Plus the toys are more interesting, and they get to go out for walks when the weather is nice.

    Oh my gosh I keep forgetting our babies are almost 1!! When I read that the room is mostly 12-18 month olds I was about to ask why they wanted to move her up so early! :( noooooooo!!!

    Em is next to move when one of the other kids moves into the next room.  She goes in there to play sometimes when someone is not there.  The rooms are attached, so I won't be too emotional for that room. When she goes into the next room, I'll cry. I can't deny it. I cry over EVERYTHING these days.

    He moved up in march and I was so proud!!!  It's the little movers room and they do so much more stuff!  I love getting to see his artwork on the walls until they switch them out and give it to us.
