This morning when I went to change DD's diaper I noticed that it smelled horrible in her room. I could have sworn she had pooped, but it was just pee. It was the most foul-smelling urine I've experienced from her. After looking online various sources say to have her checked for a UTI.
She doesn't feel feverish or warm, and she's acting like her normal self. She doesn't seem to be teething, either. Does anyone have experience with UTIs in babies? Is this enough to warrant a trip to the pedi? My plan is to just keep an eye on it and if the odor doesn't go away I may take her in but if I need to take her in sooner I will.
TIA
Re: Foul-smelling urine in LO
I would call the pedi.
If you need tips on getting a urine collection sample, let me know, I'm a pro after last week, lol.
For awhile Audra's urine smelt so bad! Like really strong cheerios...I had been feeding her a lot of things made with chicken broth. Once I stopped using it as much it no longer smelt.
She also just had a UTI. However, she did not have foul smelling urine accompanied with it.
Lost Lilah (Audra's twin) at 26 weeks. Cause unknown. Forever in our hearts
This was going to be my question. Asparagus definitely makes lexi's pee stink!
