I just put a mobile that attaches to the crib. It has monkeys and some other animals.

What were you thinking of doing?

Some people put glow in the dark starts and moons on the cieling.

I was actually not putting anything. I want the crib to be a place for sleep only not stimulation. I am a FTM so Im probably being naive here but oh well.

I'm actually paranoid about putting something on the wall above the crib. I'm worried it will fall on the baby!

We dont have anything above the crib. But Keegan and Cale will be sharing a room when Keegan gets old enough for me to feel okay with him in there and Cale's room has monkey's on the wall along with the ballons that i got while i was in the hospital wiht him, and the baby shower ballon, and his one year ballons. I know that sounds funny, but it actually looks really cute, even with the monkey decals on the wall. lol.

I got wooden letters from Hobby Lobby and covered them in scrapbook paper. They're different patterns, but are from the same navy blue scrap pack.

I'm thinking of getting a wood bat and putting it up there too. I'm not worried about anything falling because everything is secured with adhesive hangers AND small nails.

I found a picture from when I first did it. Crappy quality, but you get the idea.

We just have some dinosaur decals I bought on etsy. I didn't want to hang anything big up not only because there is the potential to fall (and we have plaster walls so it seems the incidence of things falling increases) but I don't want to have to worry about him touching it/knocking it over when he gets big enough (I realize I could hang it higher to avoid this, but not hanging eliminates the problem completely).

I got some flowers very similar to this at Hobby Lobby for above the crib. They came in a pack of 3 different sizes. This is paired with a 'wind sock' type thing hanging in the corner & a picture of a butterfly with a gorgeous frame on another wall.

jndone - that was one of my favorite stories as a kid and I read it to mine!! my little boy never covered the bathroom with toilet paper, but I promise he's done worse!

I like the paper lanterns above the crib! we're moving next month so while I have a good idea what I want our nursery to look like I'm still peeking at ideas

My little sister is a really good artist and she's doing 2 pieces of artwork for above my little girl's crib. They're a floral motif. Then I also have some beautiful photographs of flowers that I found on Etsy in white frames which I'll put on another wall. I wanted to do something girlie but not babyish so that the room will grow with her and I won't have to pay to buy new wall decorations in a few years.
