We are taking baby on her first camping trip this weekend and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for camping with infants. Also I just looked at the weather and it is supposed to be 90 out for part of the weekend. Do any of you that live in warmer areas have tips or tricks for keeping baby cool? She is very fair skinned so protecting from sunburn is a big worry also. She got a tiny sunburn last weekend on a cloudy day :-(

Re: Camping with LO & Hot Weather Tips
I agree with the peapod or other such contraption that baby can be in that keeps bugs and sun off and baby can be in just a diaper. My babies get really cranky when they are hot and held. Remember that you can't use any sunscreen yet (block is okay but can you imagine the mess!).
You can put a couple washclothes in baggies wet. When you need to cool baby or just wipe them up or whatever the wet washcloth will feel good. You don't even need to keep it in the cooler, just wet and in a baggie (so it stays wet and other stuff doesn't). As the wetness drys on baby's skin it will feel cool.
You can drag along your baby bathtub for a baby sized pool any ole time baby wants one.
