Pedi told me to start protein after all the veggies & fruits are introduced. I was told to buy whole milk organic yogurt with as few ingredients as possible. I'll probably introduce yogurt, ricotta, and tofu around 7.5 months
We started after 6 month appt. We give Dairyland 'Lil Ones because they are made with whole milk and sweetened with 100% fruit juice so no other added sugar and/or sweeteners.
So dumb question: If we can't do cow's milk, then why is yogurt ok? Is it because you are doing Greek (goat's) yogurt? I am curious. Someone school me.

The only reason they say no cow's milk under one is to keep parents away from replacing formula or breast milk with cow's milk. Babies can have yogurt and cheeses under one.
I think this link has a lot of good info on offering yogurt to baby!
We started just last weekend (right about 7 months) with DD. She gets organic plain whole milk yogurt and loves it, especially mixed with fruits (bananas, peaches, pears). DD had/has thrush and I decided to start it now because of the probiotics.

It was one of the first things he had, sometime around 6 months or just before. He gets whole fat plain Greek yogurt that he feeds himself with his hands.
