What theme are you doing for your LO's birthday?
We are doing rubber ducks for Colbie. Her room is decorated in ducks & frogs. We did the generic 1st birthday boy for our son and I wanted something different.
We just ordered a duck shapped pan for her cake (my sister will make it) and I have started looking for suggestions on how to decorate. We are doing a cook out and will probably have about 30-40 people at our house (we have a HUGE family and tons of friends) I am going to get a ton of rubber ducks and put them in a little tub with her for pictures.
Is anyone else getting ready? May will be here before we know it!

It came in about 2 weeks ago..I can't believe Eli is going to be 1 already! This went by super fast!
We are going to be camping with a lot of family so we are inviting everyone to come out for the day for the party. I am doing a camp theme. Everything arrived today and it's sooooo cute! I have a tent shaped pi?ata, camp fire center pieces, goodie bags for the kids and we are doing hamburger & hot dogs. I was thinking of making like a s'more bar or something too.
Is anyone doing games besides a pi?ata at the 1st party? There will be no more than a dozen kids there and most of them are around 3 years old. I will have a kid ppol feeled with balls for them to play in and maybe some water balloons.

I'm doing rubber ducks too...I wanted something he would recognize and he loves playing with his duckies at bath time! I also bought the rubber duck cake pan and have made one (1st attempt didn't rise, 2nd attempt in freezer waiting to be iced!!). I found a website that sold rubber duck 1st birthday party supplies, so bought those and my DH who is a good artist is going to draw some large ducks for the wall. I only have a couple of children coming so we will play "pin the beak on the ducky" and attempt to eat peeps (marshmallow Easter candy chicks) with hands tied behind back and peeps dangling from string (kind like Halloween apples!).
Enjoy the party...very excited for our son's 1st!
