earlier wake up time...... later bed time?

So for the past 5 months Coops has slept 7-7. now all of a sudden he is sleeping 7 till 6 or 6:30 - i'm not complaining, i know i am one of the lucky ones, but is this his way of saying he needs to go to bed later or move to having 1 naps a day???

Re: earlier wake up time...... later bed time?

  • A has been doing this too for the past few nights.  If i put her to bed later, she actually wakes up even earlier.  I wondered if it had something to do with the sun coming up earlier, but aren't you guys heading into winter now?

I have no clue why they are doing this!  But I really don't want her to give up her second nap.  She's such a wreck without it!

  • I have noticed that C's wake up time has slowly crept up over the past few months. I can remember when I first went back to work he was often still sleepingt when I was headed out, so about 715. That NEVER happens anymore and most days he's awake before I even head into the shower, so by 615. I have tried to put him to bed later or just done so because we were out, but he still wakes up on the earlier side so I stick with his normal bedtime. I figure if I'm not getting that time in the morning, I'm going to enjoy my relaxy time at night.

a later bed time almost never results in a longer sleep. sleep begets sleep. See what happens if you put him down earlier.
